Passage of a St. Louis County Clean Air Act has prompted officials in Cape Girardeau to lobby for restrictions on smoking in public places there.
Breathe Easy Cape Girardeau is trying to collect enough signatures for the City Council to entertain an ordinance or send one to voters, according to the Southeast Missourian.
Cape only forbids smoking in grocery stores, the paper reports.
