While St. Louis County dawdles on enacting a clean air act, individual communities within the county are moving to protect worker health.
This week, Clayton became the latest community to go smoke-free. The City Council unanimously approved a clean air act that prohibits smoking inside of public places. All new businesses must open smoke-free, while established businesses have until next July to comply.
